The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic is every year on Labor Day weekend! Ann Morrison Park is walking distance from the hotels downtown and you can go watch hot air balloons take off early in the AM on Saturday and Sunday
The Greenbelt is the pathway along the river that runs through the city. The Greenbelt is accessible from downtown but our fav stretch of it is about 2 miles away (a nice ride on a Lime scooter).
We like to walk from: Sandbar (restaurant with patio and live music) to Telaya (winery) to The Yardarm (beachy outdoor beer bar & our fav hangout spot). Make a pit stop at the river wave to watch the surfers (or you can rent a surfboard at Corridor and give it a shot)
Quinn’s Pond is a great paddle boarding spot with multiple connected ponds. You can rent a SUP at the shop there.
Floating the river is also always fun! You can buy your own inner tube/raft and paddle to use or rent one through https://boiseriverraftandtube.com
The float starts at Barber Park and ends at Ann Morrison park (walking distance to DT)
